Adventageous

9″ x 6″ acrylic on paper. Hand-signed and dated.

I’ve avoided using green and red on their own because to me, this combo will always mean Christmas. The thing is, green and red are complementary colours, which means they really make each other come to life and pop of the page. As I was exploring colour theory, I wanted to experiment with all complementary pairings, and not avoid this one just because it’s associated with the advent season.

The title is a play on that Christmas theme and the word advantage which is used to describe a situation, condition, or deal that produces a favorable outcome or gives someone an edge over others.

May this festive creation always give you a leg up over the competition.
