The Grand Waltz

9″ x 12″ watercolour on sheet music paper. Hand-signed and dated.

This was an exercise in mark-making, enjoying the process, and allowing myself to be surprised by a result I couldn’t predict.

A part of the Chopin Music series.
Part of living creatively is to use what you have. Your art should never be inhibited because you ran out of paper. Which is what happened to me when the inspiration hit, and all I had was a collection of sheet music. Chopin happens to be my favourite composer, and I felt like this was the perfect way to incorporate my musical side into my work.
