Taking it back to 2020, when the world shut down and I turned to creativity.

At the time, I was in a relationship with someone who took the COVID era hard, and took it out on me. Looking back I can see how getting back into a regular art practice was one of the things that really helped me to cope during this time.

This painting was a strong reminder of what I’m capable of creating, and it nurtured my confidence at a time where it was being broken down in every room of the house except my studio. Creativity kept me afloat during some of the hardest years of my life, and continues to carry me through my healing and growth on a daily basis.
