Chopin’s Tulips No. 5

9″ x 12″ watercolour on sheet music paper. Hand-signed and dated.

Watercolours aren’t typically associated with being very vibrant. These blazing red and orange tulips contrasted deep blues and greens sure makes me see watercolours a little differently.

A part of the Chopin Music series.
Part of living creatively is to use what you have. Your art should never be inhibited because you ran out of paper. Which is what happened to me when the inspiration hit, and all I had was a collection of sheet music. Chopin happens to be my favourite composer, and I felt like this was the perfect way to incorporate my musical side into my work.
